The Miele Accessory Chart shown here is a useful tool for understanding the different hoses, wands, brushes, and accessories that come with a Miele vacuum or available to be purchased separately. This chart currently encompasses the S2 and S4 canister models. These vacuums feature standard options, but the chart outlines potential upgrades. 

Miele canister vacuums will feature one of two hose types - either an electric or non-electric hose. This hose governs the types of wands and floor tools your Miele can utilize. A non-electric hose will only work with non-electric floor tools like a parquet brush, which means it may not be a suitable choice for homes with plush carpets. Alternatively, an electric hose has the ability to power a floor tool like the SEB236 powerbrush, allowing for a deep clean of carpets. It is important to note that not all Miele vacuums can be upgraded to an electric hose as is the case with the Miele S4 canister vacuums. 

Perhaps the most beneficial section of the Miele Accessory Chart is the “more tools for current models” section. This piece shows individual tools and accessory kits to get the most out of your Miele vacuum, and the ability to use your Miele for many different cleaning needs. Most of the Miele attachments are compatible with all Miele vacuums, as these are not powered tools and do not require an electric hose for use.
